As part of one of the largest shopping malls in Brazil’s northern region, the bench is located at the entrance hall for the new buildings in RioMar Trade Center. Thus, their own name – which translates from portuguese as “RiverSea” – refers to it being right beside where the river meets the sea.

With this concept in mind, different waves flow along the edges just like different waters blend in together. And as a result, multiple ergonomics were made possible throughout this fluid design, with a varying experience depending on where you sit on the bench.

For its fabrication, the base geometry was divided into 240 wooden sections, which were then cut in a CNC milling machine and assembled only by joints (without the need of any extra glue or screws).
