The Vivix Bar’s Parametric Shell was programed by SELVAGEN and had its interior designed by JP Arquitetura for the 2021 edition of CasaCor Pernambuco, America’s largest exhibition of architecture, interior and landscaping design.
The project consists of two 20ft containers, that are covered with a glass shell and a contrasting interior filled with mirrors: Vivix’s glass is set to be the protagonist by exploring the material’s multiple shapes, colors and applications.
Located at the external area, the bar is a functional place to stay in throughout the event, so its marquee opens up as an invitation to those who walk by the exhibition to enter the space. With the use of computational tools, the shell was then panelized in order to adapt the Vivix Performa Glass to a curved surface, thus generating a triangular mesh – which had its modules reduced at the back to surround the entrance. And with the selected frame, the panels were structured over steel welded bars.

The lighting is also a key element in the project, as it brightens the mirrors and glass used in furniture, coating and finishing materials. At night, it lights up the whole space and during the day, the Parametric Shell reflects the landscape around it.
